What about the weather?

Awaken Industries will be operating daily, weather permitting. Conditions that would alter a lesson include: high winds, rain, thunderstorms. The lesson will be cancelled at the (instructor(s)) discretion. If a lesson has to be cancelled you will receive a refund on a pro rated basis, for example if you have ridden once, and the lesson is cancelled, you would get half of your money back. 

What should I bring and wear to my lessons?

You are required to bring your own towels, sunscreen, bathing suit, snacks, drinking water, warm change of clothes, etc.., and anything else you may require.

Should I bring a camera?

Awaken Industries will be taking advantage of Malibu’s onboard video camera for your ride(s) and your viewing pleasure and keepsake.  These fully edited videos will be available for only $10 and arrangements for delivery will be made.  Please feel free to bring personal cameras at your own risk. 

Where do we get picked up?

All riders will be picked up on the pier at Sylvan Lake, unless other arrangements are made at time of booking.

What if I need to cancel my lesson?

Please notify anyone at Awaken Industries as soon as possible.

When are lessons offered?

Group lessons are offered daily Morning rides run from 8:00am thru until 12:00pm.
Evening rides run from 5:00pm thru until 9:00pm (except Tuesday morning and Thursday night which will be reserved for ladies only.)
Individual lessons are offered Monday, Thursday and Sunday from 12:30 till 4:30
Wakesurf lessons are offered Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 12:30 till 4:30

What are my payment options?

Awaken Industries accepts cash upon arrival. We also accept Pay Pal which will be set up through our website.

What if all the slots in a group lesson are not filled?

Wakeboard and wakeskate lessons will proceed as scheduled, if all 6 spots are filled or not. There is a 4 hour time slot for all group lessons to allow every rider to go at least 2 times with all required instructional time. For example, if only 3 people sign up for a group lesson, you may get more than 2 sets depending on available time. In a surf lesson, at least 3 slots will need to be filled for the lesson to happen, since the weight of people is required to make a good wave. In the unfortunate event of an insufficient number of riders (for surfing), Awaken Industries will provide you with as much notice as possible.

Are there any discounts or promotions throughout the year?

Awaken Industries will be having promotions, special events and offer discounted rides throughout the year. To receive information on when these events will be taking place, please join our facebook group and we will message you when they are going on.
